We provide instruction in Adult Education, Adult Secondary Education, Family Literacy, Adult Education for Speakers of Other Languages (including civics/citizenship), and Adult Education for the Workplace. The Adult Learning Center of the Columbia Public Schools provides an opportunity for adults to learn the basic skills they need to benefit from job training and retraining programs; to obtain and retain productive employment; and to continue personal educational goals.

Volunteer to be a literacy tutor at the Adult Learning Center (ALC) or one of our satellite sites. Tutors receive training, and they are supervised by certified adult education instructors.
